An endorsement is basically a “sign-off” from a certified flight instructor that states that the pilot has received the required training for the particular task and now the pilot is eligible to fly the aircraft without instructor. If you want to allow student pilot to operate an aircraft in solo flight, this can be done with the help of pilot solo endorsement. Following are the steps to endorse the pilot .
If not signed in, kindly sign in into FBO Master.
- Click on the hamburger icon on the top left corner of the navigation bar. Select User main menu. Click on the Pilot sub menu.
- Pilot List will be displayed on the screen, click on the ( + ) button on the bottom right corner if you would like to create new pilot or click on pencil icon to edit existing pilot.

Add Pilot pop up will open on the screen. Fill up all the mandatory fields like Active user, First name and Last name.
- Scroll down to Qualifications Rating/ Endorsements Section, it contain various Certificates, Instruments and Aircraft rating.
- On checking the Certificate as Student (i.e. on checking the Student checkbox), all other Certificate check boxes will become disabled.
- After checking the student Solo Expiry Date and Solo Expiry Days fields will be display. Click on the edit icon to enable the fields.
- If we select the Solo Expire Date then Solo Expiry Days will be auto calculated and populated and vice versa.
- Click on the Save button. A success message ‘Solo Expiry Date update successfully.’ will display on the bottom of the screen.
